Subject: Woolmarket Duathlon Race 2

2 mile run, 11.2 bike, 2 mile run - Sunday May 22 in Woolmarket, Mississippi (between Gulfport and Biloxi).

Tough course, hilly run and bike by South Louisiana standards, bike is a bit technical and the roads are not policed, but there is very little traffic. Non USAT.

Fun, friendly crowd - usually between 100 and 150 racers.

I do prefer to not run after the bike. Legs are like Jello.

Hey Kathy,

Sorry I didn't get to meet you. I think I had a very good race. I did 1.09.17 which is a huge improvement versus last year. The improvement was mostly on the run. Those hills just eat me up on the bike. Where's your next race? Nokia Sugar bowl for me.

Hey Ken

I don't have a "planned" race coming up. I was thinking about doing the Gate to Gate 4.4 mile in Eglin Air Force Base on Monday.
Good luck in the Nokia. Will you be doing the third Woolmarket du? I don't think I will be in town that weekend. But that could change.

Not sure on woolmarket 3. I hate the 5k after the bike. One reason I might do it is to experiment on the bike. I think I may try riding my road bike instead of my fancy tri bike. I don't remember the hills eating me up like they did in that race.

Are you doing Grandman? We are in that one.

yep, it will be my 4th time, first year was a relay and last year was a new course. I liked the old course better. This one is full of tough climbs on the bike and the run starts with a big climb. Well run, lots of door prizes, etc.
