I am just trying out the "create a thread for this race" feature.

Anyway, I know I can finish the distances now but wish I knew a little more about the rolling hills there. I have been riding more or less on flat. Oh well, 1st time for everything ;p

You get to go down about two or three hills, the rest it just seemed like you climbed to the top and then turned left. hehe

It is a challenging course – nothing too major – this is after all Southern Mississippi but they are some of the biggest rolling hills around. It is a very good bike course – I ride it all of the time.

I'll be there! My friend and I will both be doing this race and it's our first. I'm a little scared of the hills but I feel much better about my swimming. Could anyone who did it last year offer more input and descriptions?

I'm so nervous!!

I did it last year, I thought it was an easy, fun course. The big hill I remember is leaving out of transition, it was a downhill, then up again. There are a handfull of hills that are tough, but I have been to some that were really hard. I would definatly put in some hill training before doing any of the tri's., Just to be prepared for anything. I saw a few standing to climb some of the hills. I will be there again this year.
It's a race I reccomend doing at least once.

I went to watch just to get a feel and see what to do when i enter my first race. It rained on and off the entire race. It was a very nice race. I will be there for the next one.

What an AMAZING day!  I was very skeptical before the swim about competing in my first tri in the rain, but it went well!  Thanks to Ben and everyone else for making this happen!

I was my 1st race as well and had a great time. The hills were a bit more challenging but fun at the same time.

I will be there next year!!!!
