I am excited about the flyovers. If nothing else this will be a cool experience. I have been to the museum but my husband, a pilot, has not. I am excited to see it with him.
I understand there is very limited spectator support because of the route. I'll just have to suffer through with being cheered on by hawt men in uniforms.
My wife and I did this marathon last year, and this year she'll be doing it again with me in the crowd cheering her on.
The flyover is pretty damn sweet. It does get a little bit lonely out there on the tarmac around like mile 16 or 17 when it's just you and what looks like miles and miles of concrete.
I hope everyone who participated in the race had as much fun as I did spectating. My wife finished in a personal best of 4:20! If you were in the Half, you might have saw me around mile 9 holding a sign saying, "Your feet are hurting because you're kicking so much @ss !" or "Run! Go! Get to da Choppa!" or "Fairborn is for lovers Runners!" or "My Wife is a Two Timer! 2008 & 2009"
