Since the race starts at 7:00, it would probably be good to meet by 6:30 at the latest. That gives us time to get the photo and then let everyone do their own pre-race warm-up/routine.

I would suggest a place, but I've never done this race before and don't live in the area. Can someone who's done it suggest a good place that's near the start area, but just a little away from where the masses gather?

mop_sack - 2009-10-13 8:42 AMIs it too late to get a shirt before Sunday? ALso the Cherry Cricket is always a good post race spot. Great beer selection (including PBR on tap I believe) and the best burgers in town.
I totally agree about Cherry Cricket- the problem with that place is that it's usually jam-packed on Sunday's with football crowds. I don't know how big our group will be, and I know there are days when it's tough for my wife and I just to get a table. I can always call them and ask them to block off part of the "new" addition for us, of course. As far as shirts, I think Lilia sold out of them. I know she was out of my size.

Bummer on the shirts. If anyone has a spare large lying around, I would love one for the race.

one more suggestion on post race facilities. Katie Mullen's on 16th and Court is only a few blocks from the finish line.

She said they run big so you might fit a size smaller than usual.

6:30 sounds good.  I don't know the area but I can scope it out during packet pickup Sat.

This was posted in the other Denver Marathon thread . . .

As far as meeting before hand there is a Bucking bronco sculpture on the civic center plaza where we could all go "cowboy-up" before the big race.

So does the Bucking Bronco this Sunday at 6:30 AM sound good to everyone?  Cowboy Up and say CHEESE for the Dime.

Yep, Katie Mullen's is very close, nice call Phil.  I was trying to remember the name of this one as it used to be Duffy's and then was sold.  My bagpipe band would play there on St. Patrick's day.  It's fairly good sized and it's Irish so you know they have a good beer selection!

BTW-  75 degrees on Sunday!?!

I got in on this too late to get a t-shirt, so I will take a pass on the group picture. If I can walk, I'll meet up with you guys at Katie Mullen's.

OK, I just talked to the manager @ Katie Mullen's. She's reserving a group of tables for us in part of the restaurant. I told her about 20 people would be there? Reservation is under my name, so if you are a speed demon and get there early, tell 'em you're with Matt's party.

I plan to be at the picture taking place at 6:30 with my relay team - serrotta, juliapurr, trixie, and Kathleen, and me - yes there are 5 of us   LOL!  Hope to make it to the post race activities as well!  That is, if I can find any of these places - I tend to get lost easily.
