I just got one with the heart rate monitor about a month ago. I am still getting used to all the features, but so far everything I have used on has been great. I am new to the tri world but from a newbie stand point I thought it was worth the money. What I really like about it for the run portion is that you don't have to wear one of clips on your shoe laces and it has a vertual partner that you can set the pace you want and let's you know how far ahead or behind you are. Same with the bike ( no extra dodads you have to hook up on your bike just clip it on and go ). Downloading trainning info took a little figuring out, but just because I was excited and didn't read the directions very good. The website has many useful cool tools too. I think it was worth the money. I changed out my Polar 725 for 310XT. Hope this helps.Money mouth

so is the upgrade worth it?  i have a 305 now, which i am obsessed with...but, it would certainly be nice to have something with gps to swim with...

The GPS, pace....and HRM do not work in the water. The numbers are way off. I have heard of suggestions to put in your bathing cap.

I wore it in a race last weekend and was able to properly track my HR and pace through T1, bike, T2 and run. For the swim, only the time was useful.
