Pre-race routine:

Got to the race a bit early since I was exepcting transition to be a zoo with so many competitors.
Swim
  • 37m 29s
  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 17s / 100 yards
Comments:

Better than last year (my first race) by 3 minutes but still a long way to go. On the piositive side the swim felt fairly easy and I left myself lots of energy for later in the race.
What would you do differently?:

Go a little harder.
Transition 1
  • 03m 18s
Comments:

This transition felt slower than it really was. Need to not get rattled if taking off wetsuit is a little tricky.
What would you do differently?:

Must learn the "shoes on bike" technique
Bike
  • 1h 11m 44s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 20.79 mile/hr
Comments:

Best bike ride ever in a race. Need to remember how this pace feels. Still can knock a chunk of time off though I think.
Transition 2
  • 03m 3s
Comments:

Horrible transition. I could not get my darn socks on! What's with that?
Run
  • 48m 49s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 07m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

Thought I was going to be a minute quicker than this. Stuggled to run at a consistent pace for some reason
What would you do differently?:

Don't skip running for two weeks before a race!
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Still lots of work to do on the swim.
