Pre-race routine:

We left Greenville SC a day before the race and traveled to Boone NC and stayed there for the night. Early the next morning we left to drive another 1.5 hours to the Grayson Highland State Park in Virginia. Our team was seeded for 7.40AM. We arrived with a lot of time to spare, to pick up the race package and snap the team pic.
Event warmup:

We watched our first runner warm up! :-)

Comments:

Our team "Do Not Resuscitate" consisted out of 12 awesome people... We had very different running levels on this team, but everyone supported each other through the easy, moderate, hard and very hard legs of the race.

What would you do differently?:

Nothing... This was a team effort and everyone gave all they had.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited for our last runner on the finish line, got a group pic there and then jumped in the car to drive back home and to finally get some sleep.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Our team was AWESOME! We did this race dead on our pace predication! YEAH US!

Event comments:

No drink stations, b/c this is a self supported race.

This race is great and we definitely plan on going back. We caught the relay bug out there. The volunteers were super friendly even in the middle of the night. The teams help and support each other. The course is tough, but you get treated with the gigantic views.
