Comments: Started out with a bit of rain but it felt great. Got sunny about mile 8, which just happens to be the spot that I ran out of steam. I was maintaining a 10:30/mile pace until then but right about the time I hit the sand it's like I hit the brakes. Just tried to get through the rest and enjoy it, which I definitely did. What would you do differently?: Train better. Post race
Warm down: Walked around Nye Beach, stretched for 30 mins at home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training Event comments: Very small race, only about 2-300 people or so. Drink stations every 3 miles but just water. No real finish line and no pre or post race activities. Still would do it again next year. Last updated: 2009-03-31 12:00 AM
