Just pick your outfit carefully and you'll do fine!  Even if it's precipitating it won't be full-blown winter, I imagine.  Good luck guys!

Better for it to snow than to rain.  Good luck everyone!

Well, let's see...instead of shorts and a tech-T, we'll add:

A warm hat
Long-sleeved Tech shirt
Running pants
Running jacket
Gloves

I will go home and weigh it on the scale.

I may be gaining a couple lbs. before Saturday...

Do heart rate monitors work at sub-freezing?

Last run before the snowfest tomorrow...22 min in Z2 (max 150 bpm HR)...

Race dress plan: shorts, 2 long-sleeved tech shirts, running pants, gloves, running hat...

It'll be good to meet a few of you...here's a picture of me so that you can find me...

My wife works until 2pm, so we'll be heading out a little later.  We may not make the expo, but may pick up our packets tomorrow morning.  Sleep well...

Thanks for the well wishes Kelly.  Staying warm will be half the battle.

I suppose Bryan didn't come up last night...

Any crazy thoughts of sneaking up last night were erased by the predicted temps.  All the best of luck to you guys today.  We woke up to half an inch of snow in the southern metro this morning.

Bryan, you didn't miss much.  To me it was miserable 27 and windy (at least at the end).  I thought I did everything right, started out relaxed kept the heart rate down, had a gel and electrolyte tab every 5 miles, hydrated well.  Wheels came off!  Couldn't ever get warmed up.  Thought I might have been hypothermic at mile 16.

Funny thing is that all my running buddies who typically run close to 4 hours all ran about 25 minutes slower.

I came in at 4:39.  This is the first race I have seriously considered DNFing.  You didn't miss much...

Sorry you had a rough time out there Sal.  I mowed the lawn this afternoon in my winter coat, hat and gloves and had to stop half way through I was so cold.  Good for you for gutting it out.

DNS for me due to a migraine.  Couldn't keep anything down, no fluids...nuttin'.

I saw Sal at about the 5 mi mark and he was looking ok...not great, but ok.   My three folks that I was following did OK, but their feet got chilly.

Good thing that 25 mph wind was at your back, Sal!

I had steak, pasta with cream sauce and bacon, batter-fried onions, veggies and 5 glasses of water after the race and still couldn't warm up.  Almost ordered another steak combo plate...

Feeling better...ran a quick 20 this morning...minutes, NOT miles...  Had to walk for a few minutes before stepping it up to a jog...

I should be ready for the Monster Half...
