  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 04s / 100 yards
Comments:

Funny thing, over night the lake rose a foot because of the rain, and the buoys that had been placed the night before kind of floated all over the place. So there was a delay as they looked around for someone with a Garmin so they could reset the course...I think they set it longer than it should have been, but they did a good job on short notice....another funny thing, the water was only about 4-6 ft deep, so you could walk just about anywhere on the swim(handy for defo

Comments:

No suit stuck on heels, they had wetsuit strippers :)
What would you do differently?:

Not a thing,
Bike
  • 1h 22m 30s
  • 28.25 miles
  • 20.54 mile/hr
Comments:

Bike was a 4 lap affair, going across the dam on Lake Heffner, then down into a residential, across the road at the bottom of the dam, and then repeat, by the 4th lap I had the course down, but with the headwind on the dam, I was really happy not to have to go around for a 5th time
Transition 2
  • 01m 51s
Comments:

Good T2 for me, for once
Run
  • 59m 40s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 09m 37s  min/mile
Comments:

This is where my race came apart, I was up to speed and running well, but at mile one developed a big blister on my right foot(currently it's about the size of a quarter...it really limited my ability to attack the run.
What would you do differently?:

Wear socks....
Post race
Event comments:

This was a PR race for me in the Oly, but I would trade the PR for 30 more club points. Congrats to TriOKC they won a hard fought battle for the USAT club nationals
