Does this mean I'll have to bust out the arm warmers for Longhorn????

Just the arm warmers? I'll commission a special medal for you if you race like that. I'll even help with the body marking.

YES!  Finally, a taste of fall here in TX.  I can't wait for it to get into the 40's - perfect running weather IMO!

I can't believe how cool it was this morning ... they even had the garage style doors separating the indoor and outdoor pools closed.  It was too cold for me to swim out there!

Tonight's run will be the first in months that I wear a shirt over my sports bra.  I am going to pick up arm warmers for my long ride this weekend that starts before dawn.  They will be removed, but I might as well be comfortable, right!

I even sent my son a sweatshirt in his tote bag for school AND he wore it!

I just got back from a morning run with the temp around 66, the coldest morning around here in a long time.  I couldn't believe how cold I was!  Tomorrow I'll be wearing long sleeves....

Brian

LMAO!!! That's a freaking heat wave here in September! I don't don long sleeves on a run until it's about 59 degrees! We barely got above 80 in PA this summer and used the air once!

no freaking fair.  it's still in the 90s here...with like a bagillion percent humidity.  i don't think fall or winter exist in augusta.

Sometime in February I'll pray for 40s! Nothing like 10degrees with windchill of -10 running in compression pants with shorts over them, a dry wick shirt, pull over windproof/waterproof jacket, cloth gloves (with frost forming from the sweat), cotton hat (with more frost from the sweat), and God forbid I tug on the collar of the pull over or my glasses will fog up. That's awesome...especially when it is snowing just a bit. Peaceful...could run forever.

I was outside getting ready for my run this evening and I had a series of weird issues with my body. Nothing was working the way it has been! My legs were moving at a rapid pace as if they had a mind of their own, my body wasn't pouring water out of every gland, and my heart rate wouldn't skyrocket the second I started moving. At the end of the run, the weirdest thing started to happen. My body started to move very rapidly, like I was having involuntary spasms all over. My teeth started clanking against each other too! It was like the clothes I was wearing weren't enough protection, but I know that can't be it because for months now the ball of fire in the sky has been consistently torching the air near me and there's no reason it would stop now...would it?? How could the wind not be like a blowtorch in my face?? This doesn't make any sense!

Even now when I get home, there's an eerie quiet instead of the usual sounds like a giant mechanical cooling device running constantly in the background. Did The Rapture start? Why didn't anyone tell me? Please help me understand this strange turn of events, and what local church I should start attending to fix it!

Of all the freakin' weeks to have to travel to Phoenix, AZ......stupid 104.

Enjoy the weather. I'll try to bring back the big ball of fire.

Wow. You Texans are wussy! 40+ is tank top running weather here in Chicago! My avatar photo was taken in May, and it there was frost on the grass at the start of the run... which means it must have warmed up from say... the 30's?

Who needs sleeves!??! If you're cold, run harder!

no worries...Dallas/Fort Worth will be back in the 80's this weekend (after one more day of that weird wet stuff falling from the sky on Thursday).  And you know you can count on at least a few days of temps back up in the 90's in early to mid October.  Happens every year!!  Fall...whatever.  that doesn't happen around here until Christmas!!

But I do have to admit that it was a chilly ride yesterday morning...62 deg, 20mph wind and drizzle.

It's been snowing off and on for 2 days here @ 7200'.  I had to find my mitties and earwarmers to run!

eta: we'll be in the 70s again at least by the weekend
