Pro  4100   Wherever the trail takes me, WA. |  Subject: Tuesday NightsOver the past couple weeks we have started running from Sky Country Trailhead starting @ 6:15pm.... What started with 2-3 of us, is now about 15 runners or so. We have only had to use our headlamps towards the end of the runs, but I think it is going to be full time soon. You are all welcome to join us. Most runs will go 5-8 miles, but the routes we run can be cut short 2 or 3 times during the run if this distance is too long! We have all types of runners, but we will wait for you at the top of any climb (and ask that you do the same for us  !)....This is a group of other triathletes, runners, adventure racers, co workers, soccer friends... Just a mix of people looking for a little adventure. Please feel free to join us! Let me know if you have any questions! edit: I should note that a few of us have very good knowledge of the area, so there will be no getting lost (not often, but every once in a while we try to find new routes!)..... Master 1610 Kirkland, WA | Subject: RE: Tuesday Nights Couger mountain in Issaquah - Take I-90 East (if coming from Seattle or Bellevue) - Take Lakemont Blvd Exit (Exit 13?) To reach Sky Country Trailhead, take SE Cougar Mountain Way off Lakemont Blvd. Turn right onto 166th Way SE and follow it though the housing development and into the park. As you approach the park, note the impressive stone pillars proclaiming "Cougar Mountain Regional Wildlife Park"! |

Pro 4100 Wherever the trail takes me, WA. | Subject: RE: Tuesday Nights Thanks Mike... Cougar Mtn is in between Issaquah, and Bellevue. Pace varies on RAIN, DARKNESS, NUMBER of People going out that week, etc... But we have been averaging anywhere from 10-12 min miles.... With HILLS, and HEADLAMPS. It is getting dark quick. Soon we will be starting w/ headlamps on. We made it about 20 minutes this past week without lamps... Come one come all... It's good times. There are a couple places to cut your run shorter if need be...Making it 4 miles, 5 miles, or stick it out w/ us from 6.5, 7.5, 8 ish miles range (this part varies). |

We will be there tomorrow night @ 6pm...... Sky Country Trailhead.... Headlamp, Goretex, Dry clothes, etc.... ALL a plus! Come on out... You can run 4, 5, 6-7.5 (depending on which loop is done on the back of the mtn) miles.... |

I was cutting it close on drive time and then I missed a turn-most likely due to the fact that I was hurrying.  I had a nice little jog up to the trailhead, but figuring it wouldn't be prudent to wander further alone in the dark I called it a night. I'm a bit bummed that I missed y'all, but I now know what the drive is like and how to get there. Maybe next week will work out a bit better. Until then, Melissa |

It was pretty nice, and we got REALLY lucky w/ the weather! Shoot me a pm if you have any questions, or are unsure.... We usually end up waiting a few for someone stuck in traffic... Usually on the trail by 6:15-6:20ish.... Hopefully you saw all the cars and know where we are now? |
