Everything went perfect.

I love having the outside spot on the bike rack like today.
What would you do differently?:

Bike
  • 1h 13m 38s

  • 20.21 mile/hr
Comments:

Roads had a bit a loose stones at a few of the turns. So I almost laid the bike down on the first loop. I did see one guys on each lap miss making the turn because of the gravel.

Had about 2-3 gels mixed with water.

I was having issues with my HR monitor on the bike. It may of worked 1/10
of the time if I was lucky.

My cadence on my bike computer was also not working. So with these two things not working may be the reason my bike ave mph is lower today. It made it hard to monitor my effort. Moisture always messes my bike computer up. I will be getting a new one before next summer!!

On each lap I had a ave MPH of 21.0 until I hit the big hill at the end of each loop. Who told me this course was flat David?

5 7:38 171 I met a girl named Erin and tried to run with her around mile 4+5. I had to let her go ahead since I could not hang with her. But she did help me to push harder to pass a few more guys. Some of the guys even gave us a nice compliment and said nice pace.

Nice job.  So, did you get Erin's number?

You say you HR limited your ability.  What will you do differently to make it better.

Good to see you there.  Thanks for taking pictures.

No I did not get her number. I am engaged and she is married. As for my HR I will just have to put in more training I guess.

Yes I had HED wheels on it. I have a picture of my bike in my album if you want to take a look.

From looking at your picture I think you are the guy I was talking to before the race started?

IMO, that is brilliant. I hate having to pee during a race.

I have tried 2 hours a few times but that was not enough time for me. I drink really heavy when I get up and just cut back early.I think I hit the restroom about 5 times from the time I got there until the race started.

Killer run off the bike Keith! Well done. Seems like a great race for you and a good way to end the season.
Sorry I didn't recognize you afterwards, but it was great hanging out with all the BTers.

I think Brue was asking about Erin's number for himself.

Good race.  I nipped you a bit on the bike, but as usual, everyone beats me on the run.

Keith, yep that was me before the race. It's funny who you run into. Sorry to hear about the speed and cadence problems but it didn't seem to slow you down to much. Good job on the finish.
