I have the latest version of Garmin Communicator, BT can find the device, completes the transfer "Transfer Complete", but never brings the workout to the drop down list.

Did this just start or is it for every workout? Also, have you confirmed that the workout has been transferred from the unit to your pc prior to clicking on "Import"? With ANT devices, the data isn't directly imported from the device, there's an intermediary step where it transfers it to your computer and Garmin Communicator grabs it from there.

I'm having the same issue, and it just started.  Sunday it was working fine, yesterday I transferred the data to the stick.  When I tried to upload it said it was transferring data, but when it finished is said 0 workouts for 9/29 yet I had a bike workout.  I tried it several times, kept coming up 0 workouts.

I can't check mine until tonight, but FWIW I had the same problem last night...mine got suck on the "transferring" point...never completed the bar.  But the workouts had transferred to my computer just fine.

Edit:  FWIW, I just went back and checked and I would be pretty sure I have the latest firmware...I didn't even start USING my Garmin until after that latest firmware supposedly came out...

Yes, I have the ANT version 2.2.7.

Things are transferring fine to Training Center and to Garmin Connect.

I'm unclear from your email if BT extracts from the Garmin Training Center or directly from the device via ANT.

My memory is hazy; however, I believe this problem occurred after I had a hard reset of my garmin watch. Before that point, I believe things uploaded fine. After the hard reset, I had to re-configure the watch (age, weight, etc), but the connection/pairing with ANT appeared fine. Watch pairs with HR monitor, ANT and uploads correctly.

The odd thing during the BT upload, message says "Transfer Complete", but the progress bar leaves about 1cm open and doesn't show the 100% that it used to.

UPS says my 310xt will be on my doorstep tomorrow. This should allow me to figure out exactly what's going on with this.

I just double checked my training log. The last time I successfully uploaded from the 310xt was September 8th. On September 11th, I had to reset my watch during a run and since that point, I've been unable to upload.

Mine seems to have corrected itself.  It uploaded todays workout and I was even able to upload the workout from Tuesday that kept saying 0 workouts.  Not sure why it started working, didn't do anything different.

UPS dude just dropped it off.

Give me the night to charge it, install any software updates, record some data on it etc. Hopefully we'll know what's going on by this time tomorrow.

I still want to see if I can replicate this. Let me know if you can think of anything that changed, like was the 310 out of range etc.

The only thing I can think of that I did differently is when it was not uploading, I had reset my data.  But I always did that with the 305, it would just be in history but clear and ready for my next workout.  Yesterday when it worked I did not reset my data I just pressed the stop button and no reset button.  It uploaded fine, and I noticed it reset itself so it's ready to go.  Does that make sense?

When it was not working it kept saying on the watch that it was transferring data. It would finish but then start again.  It kept doing that until I finally gave up.  It was like in an endless transfer loop, but never transferred.  Yesterday it transferred both the workouts, the current one still on the watch, and the one from the other day that was in history.

I'm biking tomorrow, hopefully I won't have any problems.

I had reset several workouts but not my most recent one.  So I doubt it had anything to do with reset.  And my Garmin battery is dead so I can't help you out any more until I get back to FL.

Ok, here's what I've got so far:

It isn't just us, the 310xt being a new product with some new software required, I'm seeing that there have been bugs reported with the upload process in general. Garmin is being very responsive as usual and has provided a number of updates. My uploads didn't happen right out of the box, I had to update pretty much everything.

The key, besides getting the updated firmware, was installing the latest version of the ANT agent.

I've tried replicating the '0 workouts found issue', but haven't been able to. Hopefully by recording a bunch of workouts I'll be able to.

What I could really use now, is for someone who's experiencing this to confirm that they have the updated firmware and ANT agent, and to give as much detail as possible: how many workouts are on your 310, operating system, browser, what changed (if anything) just before it stopped working and/or started working.

Did you do a soft reset or a hard reset?

What I'm thinking is that the reset may have brought you back down to the original version of the firmware that shipped with the unit. The latest is 2.6, what does your unit read? Have you tried updating it since you did the reset?

I've had no issues recently.  My watch actually says I'm on software version 2.5, which I guess must be the old version.  But, since it's working I hate to change anything.

The only thing odd now, is the data transfer from the watch to the stick seems to take forever.  Once it's done, uploading to BT is pretty quick.  Not sure why it's taking so long, any ideas?

Have you deleted any workouts from the watch?  The data that's on there, the longer it takes to process even if they're old workouts that have been transferred before.

My watch was scrambled just before starting a run. So I pressed those two buttons that reset it. It eliminated all of my previous inputs, my age, weight, etc.

I double checked my ANT software, up to date. Also my garmin software and Training Center software are up to date as well.

I finally had success tonight.  First I tried updating the software on the Garmin to 2.6.  Didn't seem to help.  So, next I went into my folder on the computer where it stores the stuff and archived August and September's workouts.  Voila...the Garmin will finally upload.

I will keep an eye out for whether or not it is the number of files stored on the computer (not the Garmin) that makes a difference.  Somehow I expected that a measely 2 months worth of workouts wouldn't have caused the uploader to freeze, but...whatever.

Without looking at my computer I'm going to say .tcx

I checked at tp.com and that's what it has my files as....
