b2673ad - 2009-10-05 1:32 PM Hello

Sorry I was down in the land of swine flu last week so I did not weigh-in. ( nor did I want too).  I will post my current weight tomorrow.  My goal for this month is 249

Kevin

Glad you're better!

I also weigh daily, but I try not to pay much attention to fluctuations of a few pounds or less. As long as the overall trend is in the right direction, it's fine with me. I'm getting close to my goal weight. I figure the last few pounds will be relatively slow to leave, so I set a very modest weight loss goal of only 2 lbs this month. What I hope to see when I step on the scale in the morning is no change. I don't get too worked up about one lb higher than the day before. Two pounds makes me worry, but probably shouldn't . But sometimes it does help serve as a wake-up call that I need to be a little more mindful of what I'm eating. A lower number makes me do the happy dance (even though that could just be natural fluctuation, too)!

I also weigh myself daily,  but it hasn't helped much lately..sigh.  Maybe I should start smoking again until my weight goes down.

Or maybe just do the "Happy Dance" and burn more calories.

How long now since you've quit smoking???

Hello

I was down in the land of swine flu (Cancun, Mexico) on vacation not sick.  But when all the food & drinks are included it is sometimes hard to show control.  I did OWS practice alot down there & I am happy report I only gained 1.5 pounds

So I am not sick & weigh-in at 256.5   My goal for this month is 251

Plus I race agains this weekend. YES!

It's only been 7 months, but so far so good.  All the big changes people talk about I haven't seen and heck I haven't even seen the $200 I was spending before and now I am not...Where the heck did that go?...LOL.

So here it is another Wednesday morning- I was really dreading it after my Nutella incidents and 4 day sweets bender which followed the N-Gate. But my scales had a nice suprise for me:
last 71,1kg
today 70,1kg

Yes I am insanely happy! But to balance it out I've been in hospital since 9am getting blood tests and whatnot tests and legs ultrasound. Will be stuck here till 1 at least. Thank mobile phones companies for putting internet devices into phones.

My turn for USG- Have a good Wednesday!

Just back from hospital and it's official - veins in my calves are incompetent. That would explain why they're so horribly swollen every day and possibly the pain. From what I gather thanks to internet it seems to be a chronic condition and not much can be done - so long shorts, short skirt and dresses! I'm really really tired of it all now. At least there was no new clots in my legs.

Jo, I'm so sorry to hear your medical news. Hang in there!

192.5, down from 195.

I'm wondering how many calories/week I'd save by replacing creamer with 1% milk in coffee.

Sorry to hear about teh chronic part (good to hear no new clots).  Is there any way to manage/help with the symptoms - like diet (eating and not eating certain foods) and exercise?

I was 125 today - down about .8 if I remember right.  Which really makes me happy cause not only is my tri season over but this week my coach gave me - no insisted I take a week of recovery - which means get up each day and if you want to do something do it, if not don't.  NO biking - read a book, watch tv, WTF???  So far so good - Monday I tried a yoga DVD, yesterday I ran, today I'm planning on dog walking............

Depends on your creamer, but:

2 grams (1 Tsp) of non-dairy creamer 10 cals

2 grams (1 Tsp) of 1 % milk .89 cals

If this is ignorant, please excuse, but what about those compression socks?  Would that make things worse or help?  What about drugs?  Surely there is SOMETHING that can be done.

Good thing Comet it was getting a bit boring without you.  Drugs does explain the $200...Why didn't I think of that.  I wish I had spent it on Dexatrim or Hydroxycut..LOL  (NO I DO NOT ENDORSE THOSE THINGS).
