I always like seeing the ferris wheel when I ride out there.  I was really hoping it would be operating during the race but no luck.  I also missed the donkeys that are in the same field.

Looked up and saw it as I was acknowledging another 20 people saying "on your left" as they flew past. 

What a cool sight....the Ferris wheel...not all the people passing.

There was a ferris wheel? All I could see:

1) one of my nutrition bottles skidding across the road
2) snot rockets hitting the white, painted line
3) cervelos passing me
4) sweat dripping down my oakleys
5) my stupid, black road shoes
6) a few hairs i missed on the top of my left quad
7) damn garmin not registering 20mph
8) damn hill after rolling hill
9) my hand grabbing my hamstring to help reduce cramp pains

i may have missed a few things...

How did you missed the mini donkeys?  They are so darn cute.  Since I ride that course a lot I knew to look for the donkeys on race day- and they were out there, grazing as usual   The spotted ones were out, but not the solid dark brown ones

Maybe next year we can talk the owners of the ferris wheel to fire it up as we bike by!

Line 3 sticks in my mind.  I must have been passed by 10 blue cervelos minimum.  Each time I kept thinking that there must have been a sale on those suckers
