Finally arrived in USA after months of sorting the Visa to take my new role in the company, settled family in our new home, my son joined his new school, he was placed in a class with a friend he already had which made it easier for him, met our neighbors and they are really nice, met some other parents and have been invited out for dinner already.  All the sea freight from moving our home from the UK arrived, it was all there and all safe.

Part of the sea freight was my Felt....I haven't seen her for nearly 6 weeks and now I have her back.......

All in all a very blessed week :-)

Well after a bout of wanting to quit my job - i got to go to a day-long conference and catch up with some work peeps i haven't seen in a while - and then the next night (last night) got to catch up with some more for a retirment party. Really good and fun to see them!

Also, for the first time i did a weekday morning swim and it was good! yay!  I am keeping up with winter maintenance - woo!

- Got in my second day of skiing for the season.
- Had a good week at work.
- My body seems to have remembered what it should do when I'm working out and eating right, loose some weight (Down about 10lbs in a month).
- Got a friend out for her first run in 4 months.

Have spent quality time with my daughter almost every night this week - it's been great and definitely want/need to make this a constant priority!  Also have managed to get through the week not eating her Hallowe'en candy after she's in bed asleep (helps that she counts it!)  Wink

* Got 2 lunchtime MTB rides with co-workers. Loads of fun, and a good workout.
* Finalized the money-grab and property separation for the divorce. Long story that I won't go into here...
* The rest is going to happen this weekend -- she's moving out.

My daughter's homepass was approved!

The weather has been fantastic!

I am alive and free to share my thoughts in an open forum due to the sacrifices of others and I don't take that for granted.  Thank you to our men and women in the Armed Services.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all today!!!

Wow, what good HASN'T happened to me this week?

Many mornings of waking up to sunshine, this morning I woke up to MY Sunshine, I jumped many obstacles at work and can feel my big project moving along the tracks.

Life just rocks.  Period.

Almost quit my fulltime job do work on a 6 month contract but something didn't set right with me the morning I was going to tell my boss.  Later that day I found out the contract would likely end much sooner than expected.  Had I told my boss I would have freaked when I got a call and the first thing I heard was "You haven't given your notice yet have you?"

  1. I received a promo and nice raise.
  2. My niece gave her verbal agreement to attend Harvard.  She will play softball for them as well.  I am so proud of her!!  She is a great kid and really self motivated.
  3. My son will participate in the 6 and under category at his first swim meet (back, breast and fly) on Saturday

That's incredible!!  I have a six year old that swims with a snorkling mask! (also wears it in the shower but that's another story).  I don't think I've ever seen a child so young do a stroke like FLY!  Good luck to him!

We had a great week! Got an awesome 16 mi. run in early Sun morning, got the entire house organized for packers to show up on Mon/Tues. All our stuff is crated and on it's way to South Korea. We're all healthy. My awesome kids have been able to keep up w/ school work even through the chaos (we homeschool). Broke 40 min for a 5 mi. run yesterday. And, SO glad I decided to keep my bike until the hold baggage goes because it will be close to 80* tomorrow and I'm heading out for a 50 mi ride!!

He is on a swim team and it isn't as pretty as it could be, but he is trying.. LOL

He wears his spare goggles in the shower, so your son is not alone!

We've had good weather, and I only had one stupid meeting today.
I'm making shrimp and mushroom risotto tonight and drinking frascatti
15 more minutes to work, and I can take the dogs for a walk in the woods
and crunch lots of leaves underfoot. One of my best friends is having an oyster
roast tomorrow with 3-4 bushels. I making spanakopita for that.
