Well I took the big leap, just signed up and paid for my first Sprint Tri, the Southampton Fast Twitch ! August 2010. Plenty of time to train and work up to it.
Surprisingly felt nervous and excited just submitting the online paperwork. Now officially a Triathlete in training !

Yaaaayyyy! Check you out! Welcome to thee fab world of tri. Did my first tri in august this yr in london (and unfortunately the only one, due to back injury). It is addictive, I cant wait to get up and running again, I'm sure you ill love it!!

ps, people may ask how i can say its addictive when i have only done the one, but as soon as i had finished i wanted to sign up for another, it's just the injury thats stopped me. Did you mean southampton in the UK or US?

Southampton, UK. At this stage my only goal is to cross the finishing line. Yes, if the training is anything to go by I can see how easily they become addictive.
