Subject: Tri inspired party food ideas?
We are having an end-of-the-season Tri themed christmas party and I need some suggestions with the menu.  I have the blue pool punch, tennis shoe shaped cookies, and a running path made from veggies (broccoli tree forrest etc) and the path is made from GU wrappers.  Any other ideas? Thanks.

pizza

No really, do something with oreos for aerowheels (white icing that say's zipp, hed etc on them) and do those little gold chocolate coins with a red/white/blue ribbon for the medals.   Oh, and don't forget lays oil and viegar chips for electrolyte balance.

And more importantly.... BACON!

Have a drinks table with paper cups already filled and lined up.

Just remind people not to throw water over themselves (or you could put a tarp down).

One of my favorite sanwich, SBR,,,,,, Smoked Brisked and Rib sanwich. Combine the two meats, put them in a crock pot for a few hrs with a little bit of your favorite bbq sauce, toast some buns and enjoy.

You could make cookie bars that look like Clif or Luna bars - oatmeal cookie type things with chips and such and special icing drizzled on them. They will just be the unhealthy version

Are all the people coming triathletes/endurance athletes?

De-fizzed coke
No cups.......just squeeze bottles
Jello cut in small squares to look like shot blox
Bowl full of "Mike and Ikes" (or something similar shape and size) with a fake "Pain Reliever" sign on it
Bowl of Jelly Beans labeled "Sport Beans"

For games I was thinking a variation on "who am I?"  Instead of having an identity taped to your back and you have to ask questions to identify your person, have Ironman or Marathon locations.

the pre-filled drink cups is a great idea....but you could also add timing chip bracelets to go around your glass as an identifier, like the little decorative identifiers for wine glasses.
