Well, the original plan was to run TO the race, as it's that close, but I was running late. So I drove to the park entrance and basically ran right up to the start. 5 minutes later we were off.

Well, I just wasn't feeling good at the start, maybe because of being around the boys, who were both suffering from H1N1.

Whatev . . . it's only 3 miles, right? So I just started out at a reasonably fast pace (for me) and tried to hold on.

I KNOW I started to slow down a bit by the 3rd mile, but ended up finishing under 26 . . . a new PR?!!?

I think the course might be a bit short . . . who knows, but I did shave over 2.5 minutes from the same race last year!
