You are sooo cute! But, is that a nimbus behind your head? Don't think so. What is up with that shelf behind your head? Not enough of a visual statement.

The shelf...it's just in a little cove.  There is a door to a bedroom and bathroom on either side of me.  It was the only place I could find to get decent light for a picture last night.  Maybe next time I'll find a nice scenic back drop

Woohooo! Lovely avatar, Joel.

Did you say "next time?" Do you plan on being on a losing team again?

I don't find that very funny!  I'm generally not a good looser...especially when my fate isn't completely in my own hands.  That's why I prefer individual sports...only person to blame if I don't do well is myself...and I'm okay with that.  It's frustrating to put up a strong personal effort and still come up short as a team.   Yeah, I'm an only child

LOL, Joel, at the only child thing. But, I totally agree with you about the individual sports thing. I want complete control over my successes and failures.
I guess I'm not a "team player".

I liked track and X-country in high school because I could run my individual events and kick ass but still be part of an overall team...although the whole team was solid and we only lost a handful of meets in 4 years so I guess that helps.

You're a good sport!  Love the ink. (I'm a fish geek) What's the story behind it?

I'm a marine biologist...primarily marine mammals and seaturtles.  The one on my chest is about 10 years old.  It took me a couple years to figure out exactly what I wanted but one day I found a post card with an awesome traditional Northwest Pacific Indian drawing of an Orca and I knew right then that I had found it.  I redesigned the detail but kept the style...the original was so detailed that it would have cost me big bucks.  Still took 3 hours in 2 sessions as it is.  I've also got an abstract dolphin on the top of my right foot that is a souvenier from a trip to Australia back 7 or 8 years ago.
