Subject: RE: Lonestar full IM in 2011 Yes but keith (as far as I know ) would be the director for both. Being a director myself I don't know that he'd want to do two HUGE races that close to each other. Granted he has been doing it longer than me, his races are bigger, and he has Ironman backing him but still.... Not only would one pull participants from the other (those on the fence about an IM ) but it would be an ungodly amount of work in 1-2 months. It's 12 months of planning and with all his other races it just doesn't seem likely. Don't get me wrong it's not that I'd be upset if it did. Our coaching company would greatly benefit from a Texas IM I just think it's a switch in venue is all. Now that Memorial Hermann Texas 70.3 is a Pro Championship it will get even more out-of-towners. A 70+ drive from IAH is not a good thing. I bet they want it closer to the airport. Again who really knows....besides Keith. |
