Run
Comments: Probably went out a little too fast, hence the positive mile splits. Felt good, though- no achilles issues, side stitches, etc. Kept pace with another dude in my AG, who pulled away during the last mile and I wasn't able to answer back. What would you do differently?: Start a little more conservatively to save something in the tank for the finish. Do more easy tempo runs leading up to the race to get used to different paces. Post race
Warm down: Jogged a little going back to the car, but my feet were pretty sore so I mostly walked. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough mileage lately. Still PR'd the race, so I'm pleased with the effort overall. Event comments: Not very well organized- no one could explain the 5k start time issue (probably just a typo on the race website). Nice course- enough small hills to make it interesting, but nothing major. Last updated: 2009-11-22 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:15, drank some gatorade, drove to Steve's house to carpool to the race.
Jogged from our parking spot (~1.5 miles from the race start).
Bit of a snafu as the website listed a 7:30 start time for the individual 5k, and it actually started at 7:00. Steve and I were planning on doing the 5k and decided to run the 10k last-minute.
