Run
Comments: First 5K. Lined up at the front which made a huge difference. I ran with my niece for the first mile, then got seperated. Started to feel pain at mile 3, but there were enough people running around me that I kept my pace up and continued to push. PR by 1:47, so it was a great race. What would you do differently?: Little more warm up. It would have been nice to get a little sweat going before the start. Post race
Warm down: little walk, then 30 min. ride home, hit the hot tube for 25 minutes, ice the right calf and ankle proactively. What limited your ability to perform faster: Cardo, legs could have been pushed harder. I think the cold air kept the lungs under pressure. Event comments: Fun first 5K because I got a much faster time than expected and I got to run with the family. Last updated: 2009-11-27 12:00 AM
