What limited your ability to perform faster: Getting there too late to get in the front of the crowd. 8 minutes late for the start meant I had to dodge TONS of people the first 3-4 miles. It probably cost me a couple minutes off my finish time and a couple blisters from weaving back & forth. My own fault for thinking traffic wouldn't be a problem and timing my departure so I wouldn't be waiting an hour for the start. Event comments: Post-race water was only available by the finish line. The "recovery area" had no water but plenty of other beverages that needed to be diluted to be consumed -- besides the choc. milk, cider & hot cocoa, that is. The recovery area was very crowded & I was one of the earlier finishers. ETA - results posted online could be better. Rankings are only based on the "gun start" of 7,309 runners. I had to download the data and sort it by chip times to get actual run time comparisons. Last updated: 2009-11-12 12:00 AM

Ate my usual breakfast & drove to Seattle. The offramp was backed up & it took over 30 minutes to get to the parking garage.
Run from my car out of the parking garage & hope that I wasn't too late to start the race.
