Comments:

This was my first trail run so I found it very challenging. I found the course had a large number of boulders and small rocks. There was also heavy foliage on the ground which hid the rocks. I found this difficult and dangerous because I am not used to running on trails. I saw a few people fall and bust their butts on the trail.

There were a number of technical uphills that were challenging. Steep uphills with rocks covered with leaves made a long day for me. My ankles are killing me.
What would you do differently?:

Buy some trail shoes. The soles on my road shoes were too soft.
