I noticed that OSU has registration for the indoor tri up. Hfp has there full event schedule up. Ultra-Fit posted Wendy's will be june 13th.

I am already getting cabin fever. I have been training but I love to race.

Rev at cedar point and tons more outside of central ohio

So, what's the deal with the indoor races? I was looking into it a little. It said that you swim/bike/run for a set amount of time each. Is there a winner? Whoever gets the most combined distance?

I think I'm going to give it a shot though. Something to keep me motivated throughout the winter.

Brue,

How many people typically go to the OSU one? I imagine if there are a lot of people you end up standing and waiting for your turn for a long time, right?

Are the bikes recumbant, or upright? Can you use ipods?

I googled "OSU indoor triathlon" and came up with the following info:

The race will start with a 10 minute pool swim. There will be volunteers to count your laps. Then you will head up to the bikes after a 10 minute transition for changing into your bike and run clothes. The bike will be 20 minutes on a stationary bike. You will get a 5 minute rest after the bike and then run 15 minutes on an indoor track. The race includes a free t-shirt as well as food and refreshments.

The race will take place on January 31st, 2010.

The race will cost $35 per person.

From the pics look like they are upright bicycles...no mention of ipod use.

mdougc,

I just did the same thing last night. I watched the video on their website. Seems like it should be a pretty nice race. I'm going to give it a shot.
