Yup. You can tell by the curved dorsal. Sharks have a straight dorsal

Dolphins are still freaky when they pop up in the wave or surface out of no where next to you. You still get that brief WTF

I had a great opportunity to kayak with some dolphins last week in Estero Bay in Florida.  Was watching a few play and then one spotted me and decied to swim right under my kayak.  It was really cool but at the same time I thought if he decided to play with me and knock me out of the kayak I would have quite a time getting back in since the nearby shore was all concrete canal walls.

So true!  We saw that on the news too and DH was drooling...it's been about 6 years since he's been surfing.  I'll stick to my long board and smaller waves thankyouverymuch!

Take your longboard and paddle to the outside sets.  It's much better out there and typically less crowded.

The smallest board I've ever owned was my 7'6" "sport" board.  My favorite was a 9'6" WRV.  Looking for a good 10'-er for my next one.  Don't get out as much as I'd like but miss it alot.
