Comments:

Went into this looking to get a 3:30 to 3:59. That went away quickly when at .28 into it my knee started reminding about how pain feels. Used all of my Advil before mile 20. I walked a lot after mile 17 to limit swelling and pain.
Prior to that my average pace was 8:40 min miles.
This was my worst feeling race and my second worst time. Makes me want to throw in the towel.
What would you do differently?:

Get my stupid knee to heal.

Event comments:

Not much food after the race. Kinda hungry when I got there.

hey, we had a similar race....my knee, hip and feet were killing me by mile 20...managed to limp it in.  congrats, it's the mental toughness to overcome that pain to finish, I know - I felt it.

I saw a couple of other guys in the same predicament too. You could see the frustration.

Great job finishing! a few years ago that happened to me at the Seattle marathon and i had to finish the last 1/4 in a Terry Fox sort of way.
