Well I just finished the White Rock Marathon and going to recover for a few days and get back to the running. I think I'm just do whatever I feel like doing that day instead of following a specific training plan. If I feel like biking, I will bike. If I feel like doing two 20 milers in one week, I will do it. Just trying to go out and have fun and keep it fresh.

Well do what you gotta do and good luck! I would be scared of not training properly, but that's just me.

My friend is probably coming down to do the Cowtown half marathon with me ... for the 2nd year. Last year we did a walk/run combo. I have her on a 11 week training plan for busy people... only 3 days of running a week. I did it for 6 weeks for the White Rock Half and I PRed the race.

So yeah I'm taking this week off of running and starting up with the plan next week.

I'll be at Cowtown.  I missed last year and the first of the five medal series.  Bummer.

I may be here, but definitely not doing the full or ultra. Maybe I'll do the 10k & see how I do compared to last year.

How does the Cowtown marathon compare to the Austin marathon? Anyone done both?

Yes, I saw that.  And I probably will buy the first year.  At least the money goes to charity.

I'm not sure I will do all 5 years - but I did the full last year and got the first medal. The thing I realized is that you can put together ANY 5 medals... for example, here is a pic after last year of 5 in my group just smooshing them together. Just saying you don't necessarily have to do all 5 years if someone is willing to share. After 2010, my boyfriend and I will have 4 medals between the two of us. Just need one more to make the star

I'll be there for the Half in 2010 and have my sights set on the Ultra for 2011.

It's always on my birthday weekend - what better way to spend growing older? Kiss

Is anyone doing the Ultra this weekend, or am I the only one?
