Is anyone in the Fort Collins/Loveland area? I'm hoping to eventually hook up with some other tri-folks in the area, maybe to work out with, or just to share tips & resources.  I'm planning to do the Loveland Sprint Tri on July 24th, maybe you are too!!!

I don't live in that area, but I"m planning on doing Loveland Lake to Lake in June and have considered putting the sprint on my calendar too.

Welcome to BT!

Hey, good to see another Lovelander here.  I'm always looking for someone to workout with, so if you need a partner, let me know, maybe we can work something out.  I am still REALLY slow though, but I'm getting there!  Good luck in the Lake to Lake in June.  I may volunteer to see how things are run so I have more of a feel for it when I do mine in July!

I work just outside of Longmont, not too far. I'll have to check out the tri you mentioned. Might try that one.

I am new to triathlon and planning to do my first one this year! (sprint)  I joined up with a great local triathlon team called 3xFast so I wouldn't be on this adventure alone.  So far, it has been a blast!  I highly recommend checking it out at either www.3xfast.com/articles/about-team-3xfast-pg173.htm or www.3xfast.com or Team 3xfast on facebook.  I am really looking forward to our upcoming swim clinic on January 24th at 1pm at MVAC in Loveland.  I believe it is open to anyone interested.  It is free if you are a team member and I think there is a minimal cost if you are not on the team.  I have been to 2 of them so far and it has really helped me with my swim.
Maybe I'll see you there!

Hey! Thanks for bringing this up.  I saw on their website that they had a team, but I haven't checked it out yet.  I think I will stop by the shop and sign myself up.  I have been going it alone so far...it might be fun to have other people around me with the same goal.  What is MVAC?  Is that Mountain View High School's pool?  I'm working out at the Chilson now and so far it's been great.  I'll see ya there, as long as I don't have to work that day...oh, who am I kidding, if I have to work, I'll just take off!  Thanks for the info!

Do it!  It's the first year for this sprint, so I don't think a lot of people know about it.

I'm in Fort Collins. Just finished Ironman Kansas, Harvest Moon is next. Possibly looking at Redman 2 weeks later. Typically use the Ram Bicycle Classic route for training, Bingham Hill if I need/want hillls. Always looking for folks to ride with.

Thought I'd bump this back up to see if Shmoggy or anyone else is still doing the sprint. I'm actually posting this from my oh-so-fancy Super 8 motel room in Loveland! They gave me the handicap room -- are they trying to tell me something? Anyway, I'll be going to get my packet in a bit.

I hope they leave the light on for ya.  Good luck out there tomorrow, I'm in wave 2 #76, I'll be sure to look extra dorky so I stick out like a sore thumb.

Hey all-
I just returned from my summer commitment. Couldn't really train for 6 weeks. Trying to balance a training "ramp up" and "taper" at the same time to get ready for Harvest Moon. Most likely going to leave the watch at home and have fun at this race. If anyone wants to get in a long ride in the next few weeks, let me know. I typically head north out of Fort Collins around Wellington/Waverly for 40-60 miles.

Ciao,
Aaron
