I'm tempted too but will not commit for a few months.  I am still recovering from IMAZ.  Just have no spring to my legs yet.

You did AZ?..  cool,  I was there too.  It was a great day huh?  I Had a great time..  I cannot believe how fast it sold this year.   I thought about signing up again, I said, " I will sing up  in a couple of days or so"..   It closed faster than expected..   so Vineman will be for me next year.      I just did a 50K this past weekend,  it was my longest run after AZ,  did great.

Hope I get to see you in Vineman...

We seem to like the same type of events... IMAZ was great fun.  I will sign up next year (2011 race) although I would love to be there in 2010.  I am looking at Vineman as my lead candidate for a 2010 race. I am also planning a 50k this year.  I am hoping to do the Ohlone Trail 50k in Fremont this spring.  Good luck with your training.

I'm in! Will be thrilled with a finish--and if I end up aqua biking it, that would be cool too!

I am planning on it also, but its dependent on a lot of things.  2009 wasn't kind to me so hopefully everything comes together quickly and I will be able to do this race...  My training schedule starts tomorrow.

I think I am going for it.  My other two IM options conflict with family commitments and besides, Vineman is so close to home.

So a question for anyone who has done it before:  How do race morning logistics work with the start being in a different location/town than the finish?  I will probably need to stay overnight the night before the race.

Any recommendations for a place to stay for two kids, wife, and nervous athlete?  The host hotel has a three night minimum.  I just want the night before the race to save a two hour early morning drive. Any help would be appreciated.

I did IMAZ last year and a couple IM's in the eighties as a very young indestructible guy.

I'm in as well. Any suggestions for a close hotel to stay at that's under 100 dollars a night?

She said as long as it fits into her schedule she's in. Currently she's on a bus coming back from a Fargo XC meet, so hopefully I can let you know tomorrow.
