Swim
Comments: ok swim- must work on flip turns- lost a lot of time on the turns. What would you do differently?: fast flip turns- could see how much time I was loosing on turns Transition 1
Comments: must get one piece- total joke trying to put on shorts! Bike
Comments: ok bike ride except for chain. Lost a lot of time on downhills- got passed on downhill! Lost about 4-5 mins with chain problem. Was having problems shifting on hills, than putting chain back on. Transition 2
Comments: Feel like bike is too big to jump off while moving. Overall- felt pretty good getting shoes on, hat on, sneakers- etc. Run
Comments: Was happy to get through run. First time with hills. Slow and steady on teh hills was the name of the game. Concentrated on my own comfortable pace. What would you do differently?: Train on hills more- for better speed. Take goo during end of bike, so you can drink some h20 with it- too sticky, makes you thirsty. Need to work on speed now. Post race
Warm down: cold water- stretch & shade. What limited your ability to perform faster: chain, lack of flip turns on swim, not used to heat, slow running. Last updated: 2009-04-27 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5am- race start @ 7:30 my wave at 8:30. Had lots of h2o- oatmeal, pbj & 1 cup coffee. At race start by 7:05 am.
stretch, listen to music, got on bike- warm up- make certain in correct gear. laid out stuff, get marked, go for 200M warm up swim 1/2 hr prior to wave start
