It WAS fun!  I was having a blast out there!  I love riding and riding in hail....I mean, would you EVER do that if not in a race?  It was AWESOME!!!!!!!

Hail? I'm glad I bailed. I was all packed up and thought I'm going to drive 7 hrs and be miserable. So I went back to bed and then had a truck load of coffee.

Congrats to those that battled the elements.

I don't think it was hail, at least not what I rode though.  However, it did hurt like a mofo.  Cold rain, with 15+ mph wind, while trying to ride about 16-17 mph into it.  Just one year I would like the wind to be below 10mph.
