Philly Area Tri Clubs

I know Philly Tri Club shows up big time for local races, and I've seen them out on the Schuylkill Trail from time to time doing group rides.

ok BT collective was looking at HRH and PTC and can't find what I get for my $40 and what weekly workouts are available for either club. anyone have any info? I would love to be a part of the philly tri community and not some crazy lone biker

I'm part of the Philly Tri Club, I've been a member for a few years now. I'm excited for this season for the club. We're having some great speaker series over the winter as well as starting an indoor spin class on Thursday's. We're also planning some early spring runs and then really opening up the trainign events when it gets more warm. We'll be doing a swim clinic at Villanova and the once the water is warm outside an OWS clinic. Also once the weather gets nice, our weekly rides out of Conshy will resume as well as a new one out of Center City. We usually run with Bryn Mawr but will also be having runs out of CC to accomidate those who can't get to Bryn Mawr. And my all time favorite is the Jim Thorpe training weekend in the spring.

The website is in the process of getting upgraded as we speak. I'm hoping to have a better calendar set up as well as a more user friendly messageboard. Sometime within the next week, we will be *officially* announcing our kick-off meeting. It will be on January 30th at Kildare's in Manyunk. Check the website for exact time later this week. Amanda, thanks for the info!  So as of right now you guys are running any organized runs or rides?  When do you see the group resuming things like that?

At the end of the month we will be doing the group indoor trainer rides on Thursday nights. As far as outdoor rides is concerned, at the moment there is nothing organized.

For group runs, ALOT of the members are running with Bryn Mawr runnign club right now. They run out of Bryn Mawr a few days a week. I am hoping to set up some group runs out of center city starting this week. I'm shooting for Tuesday hill repeats at Lemon Hill and weekend long runs on Kelly Drive. It most likely won't be super organized, but I will post on the messageboard.

Most of the major organized stuff will start in March.
