I really have no clue what on e is better? I will be riding 3-4 days a week on it. Which one do you suggest?

i've used the kk fluid trainer for a couple of years now with no problems.  i've heard the cycleops is good too, though.  probably a toss up.  just see which one you can find a better deal on.

you are splitting hairs. Both are good trainers. I've got a Road Machine, and between me (150lbs) and my roommate (190lbs) we have put some serious miles on it with no problems.

Get the one that's cheaper and call it a day.

I haven't really heard anything bad about either. I went with the Kinetic because I found a really good deal. That was my only reason.

You really can't go wrong with either.  I picked up a CycleOps Fluid 2 on Amazon for $249 + free shipping at the beginning of December.  If the KK would have been that price I would have went with it.

You can find them very similar prices.  My decision was based on the KK having a lifetime warranty plus an accidental damage replacement for $25.

I have a Kurt Kinetic Road trainer and it is one of the best pieces of exercise equipment I have ever owned, and I own a lot! I have put about 1,000 miles on it and it is awesome...Highly recomended

I love my KK roach machine. The only problem I ever had was that the tensioner knob stripped out (it's plastic) after a few years, but I contacted customer support and they sent me a new knob and bolt for free.

FWIW, I've had both and love the KK much much more.

I haven't used the cyclops, but I think they may have improved the design since a couple of years ago.

I have a KK and LOF IT!!!  I actually saved almost 100 bucks from buying it off of eBay from a dealer selling his stock.

I've got a week on CycleOps F2 and an not really happy with it ... it is not the precisely manufactured machine I thought it was going to be. The carriage bolt axle on the flywheel was nearly impossible to thread through the frame, and as a result, the flywheel sits tilted to the bike wheel... I am sending it back for a replacement. Turns out this was a good reason to use a bike shop or reputable online vendor rather than eBay, although most people like their F2's a lot. I wish I had a KK...

My experience---the Kinetic is so smooth. It's got no slippage and the flywheel is heavier to keep it smooth. The Cycleops is quieter, but doesn't give as good a feel. I also love the lifetime warranty of the Kinetic. My local shop, Alfred E. Bike, has the KK's on sale for a song right now. They're like $260 or $270. www.aebike.com. They don't have them on the website, but do have them in the shop. They might be able to ship at a decent rate and you may offset the shipping by not paying sales tax if you're not in Michigan. AE has great pricing and service.

Updating my earlier post ... last week my three week old CycleOps Fluid2 started making a cranky noise... and today broke completely .... the flywheel track spins completely free of the inertial fluid drive ... i think my experience with CycleOps is unusual, and the vendor (CompetitiveCyclist) is fully standing behind the product ... has already sent out a return postage label over email ... but I will probably replace with a KK. Bummer, this is ... piece of junk.
