Anyone ever do this in the past?  I've been asked to be part of a team and am wondering what it entails exactly.  Is it done as a team or is it a relay?  What kind of obstacles are there...I'm assuming its all done in mud (and fun, of course!)   Any detail would be greatly appreciated!!

I've never heard of it, but from the looks of the website it's an obstacle course team relay. I'll check with my favorite Marine (Heidi) and see what she knows about it. Might have to dust off my combat boots too

Just found the link to last years photos, looks like this race might be fun.

Can you say Leptospirosis? lol... Looks fun though. I've never done this event. It says "teams of six"... is it a relay? How does this work?

I have ran it for the past 2 years.  it is super fun but also really hard.  its not a relay you start with your six person team and you have to finish with at least 5 of those members.  usually the obstacles are wooden walls,  the swamp and whatever else they can throw in the way.  if you have ever been on the Marine Corps base as you are coming in the front gate if you look to your right those are the "Swamps" that is what they call swamps.  You will get super muddy and the mud stinks but at the end of the race they have fire trucks spraying everyone down.  Oh one thing to watch out for is at the beginning of the race the course gets really backed up so if you actually want to compete you have to have a low number.  I would suggest long pants and boots,  if you dont have boots then ducktape your tennis shoes to your feet if you lose your shoes you get DQed

Cool...thanks Chris!!  I told my friend that if he can't find anyone to fill the last slot then I will do it.  It sounds super fun but dang do I HATE those walls.  I was praying that they didn't include those!  Oh well...I guess we'll see in the next few days if I'm doing it or not!   In the meantime I guess I should look to see if I even kept any of my old boots...hmmm!?!

Well Mike, do you have a team or what??

After all this, I'm not doing it.  My friend found someone else but I'm anxious to read the race reports from those of you who are doing it!
