You're pretty sneaky because I don't see that reflected in your logs. Does that mean George has been training also and just not logging it.

The bike course is up and down most of the time but not too bad. I think the run course is tougher.

Yeah, but walking the bike course looks a lot more foolish than walking the run course

Ha. Very true.

At least on the run course you get the Dolly Parton water stop (bunch of bearded guys dressed up as Dolly Parton = very funny)

so i am officially out the columbia tri.  i'm having spine surgery the end of March and don't have time to get ready for this.  I could probably swim and bike and then drop out or walk the run, but i don't think that's in my best interest.  I am thinking of signing up to volunteer though since i was going to be busy that sunday anyway.

I am in the same boat, I have a severe hip injury that occured about 2 months after IM CDA. I have seen some specialist and have been told i need a hip replacement in the next couple of years. So I am no longer able to run until at least June. I am getting my wife to run a relay so I can still participate in the event. That may be an option for you, get someone ot run the run leg.

I biked the course this weekend on Saturday.  Boy was it windy, Lithicum the wind was a super cross wind like always and almost blew me off the road.

Heading out and back on Folly Qurater after the first Circle there were some significant road hazards.  Mainly between here and here

They have the area marked with some white spray paint figuring that they will fill that area of the road

Happy riding!

Rode the course yesterday. Looks like all of the hazards are fixed. It was HOT!!! Of course I went mid-day, but it was the only time I could go. Any thoughts on significantly improving my bike time went out the window. Man I suck.

The heat and wind can suck out the speed.  So don't discount your potential for race day quite yet!
