Run
Comments: Obviously started out way to fast for my goal to sub :48. I was trying to stay in the second group, but could not hang on. Not only that, but you can see how that hill owned me on mile 3. Took a while to recover from that as you can see in mile 4. Halfway through the race my goal was to not stop and walk. At least I accomplished that one. Great race though! Not a lot of folks in it which is sometimes good and bad. I felt alone for a little while out there. What would you do differently?: I will get some more hill workouts in, and now that the weather is getting nicer, try to run outside more. I figured with my mileage I would post at least better than :50, but I'll get there soon! Post race
Warm down: Stretched and waited for awards. I place second in my age group!!...out of 2, ha! Got to love it! What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more cardio work and hill workouts! Event comments: Pretty good race. Looked like it was put on by the College. Very cheap for what you get ($15 day of registration!). Plenty of volunteers and staff, and everything was on time. If I'm in Atlanta next year, I will compete in this race again! Last updated: 2010-01-17 12:00 AM

Well, went to bed at a decent time, woke up at 5am and couldn't go back to sleep. 1st race for the year excitement I suppose. Drank two cups of coffee, wasn't feeling very hungry. Got to the college at 7am and registered.
Stretched some before the race.
