Run
Comments: Signed up for the marathon with a bunch of friends and family. Everyone ended up bailing except my wife and me. After not training much at all, we decided to change to the half. Unfortunately, we didn't train much for it either. My wife got in more miles than me. Total logged running miles from sign up to race was 60... I decided that instead of running, I would just try carbo-loading. :) The run actually went alright until about mile 10 or so and then I started to struggle to get my legs to turn over. We kept rolling along, but our pace really started falling off pretty quickly. I told my wife to go ahead but she decided to just run with me. We finished together and despite being ill prepared, we had fun. What would you do differently?: Uh, train? Post race
Warm down: Free beer. Then headed to our friends house for Fajitas, Shiner Blonde and playoff football. What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably the fact that I've run once since November was a limiting factor. Last updated: 2010-01-18 12:00 AM
