Comments:

This was not a great swim for me as I felt that I swam further than I needed to go.
What would you do differently?:

Better siting of the buoys. I swam by the force and was way out further and needed to actually come back to the line of swimmers.

I crashed after about 20 miles into the race. Dumb mistake and cost me about 6 months of recovery and IronMan race. I had my head down for a moment to long resting and the road changed and a curb moved closer to the road. When I pulled my head up to sight the curb was just there and I rubbed my wheels up againt it and lost control at @ 20 mph. Bailed on the bike and seperated my shoulder. Took a ride in an ambulance to the local hospital for X rays and workups. Road rash on every surface of my baody except my head. Ugly.

Event comments:

This was a DNF effort. Crashed on the bike leg and suffered a third degree seperation. I wanted to put this back into my race list as it was a good race to start and I will b competing in it this year on a medical from last year. Great people and lots of help from the accident.
