Third Pres Team -  Nice Run this morning.  Great weather considering all the rain we've been having.

This will be my third year running it.  I have a half marathon the Sunday before, so I'll do the best I can.  I am planning to run with some friends who are new to running and aren't sure how far they can run during the race.  Their goal is to finish.

I'll be running it with my wife and some friends from my church. My wife has never ran before. This will be my fourth time. Missed a few years after I blew out my ACL, but now just training run for me.

2nd time running it. Set a PR last year because I had never run 10K before. I am hoping to set a new PR but I am still building back up due to injuries last fall. I'll be in Wave G - 51 to 52 min.

Sounds like you already have a PR with a new son.  Good training to you.

How's everyone's training going? All this snow and ice is really hampering my outdoor training. I ran intervals on the dreadmill this weekend. Anyone have a good treadmill interval routine that you like?

I did a half mary last weekend so my run volume has been low this week.  Hope for a good 6-8 miles tomorrow.  Like you, most of my training this winter has been on the treadmill.  If nothing else it has gotten me used to faster run speeds.  I was at mile 6 of my HM in 55 min last week.  If I can push through the crowds at Ukrops that would be a huge PR on my 10K!

Great job on the half mary QZ! My strategy last year for the 10K was to start in a wave that was slightly slower than my race pace and start at the front of the line. There was no crowd to fight until I caught up to the wave in front of me and by then they were strung out enough for me to work around.

Oh, I like that idea, thanks!

Ran the William and Mary Colonial Half Marathon several weeks ago...really looking forward to the 10K Registered for the Marine CorpHalf Marathon...used to live there. Supposed to be a great run. If time permits, hope to compete in the Breezy Point Triathlon this year.
Wishing everyone the very best!

Unless you want to donate $200.

"A limited number of entries are available by making a $200 donation to the VCU Massey Cancer Center."

Glad I didn't wait until the last minute.

If anyone cannot make the race and wants to get thier money back for thier bib please pm me. I will not wear the d-tag so no official time would be logged falsely. I did not plan to run this event but I have a friend who could really use a pacer and I prefer to do it as "right" as possible. At least I would have a paid entry bib on.

After reading sportsbackers rules in regards to what I was asking in my above post I will just cheer from the sidelines. Please dis-regard the above request.

Don't think so.  Is Thing 2 running with you again?  Bet you could get her to wear fairy wings.

\She wants to do Alice in Wonderland make up.  I don't like make up when I'm running.  I have green shorts and bought a green tee shirt that I'll cut the neck, sleeves and bottom on to look like Peter Pan.  Need a green baseball hat, the pink one won't work!

A and I are also in wave N: N19608 and N19609

I think I will be dropping back to one of the jogging waves (UA?) so that I can run with a friend, but I will stop by N and say hi.

Oh, and I may be going as "Brooks Ninja" tomorrow.  Planning on wearing my black tights, black and yellow Brooks long sleeve t, and black smartwool hat.  If only the tshirt was solid black - but it has some of the fluorescent yellow nigthlife stripes on it.
