Any thoughts/opinions from people who are familiar with the products?  I'm moving soon, need internet, telephone and cable and those are the choices.  Direct TV is out since I can't physically change the apartment structure.

I just switched from Time warner to AT & T..   mostly since I could get a slightly better deal and have a DVR that could record up to four shows at once also.

Honestly I can't really tell any difference in my internet speed or tv picture... For some reason I like how the tv channels are grouped on AT &T.. but to me it's really a toss up...

Can't tell you about TW but I just switched from DirecTV to Uverse.  Two primary factors were cost and Versus.  DirecTV dropped Versus (and NBC Universal) which means no TDF and no triathlon.  That's a deal breaker for me (and we've had DirecTV for 12 years.)

Time Warner sucks harder than Jenna Jameson at a Dirt Devil convention.

I've had Time Warner and currently have ATT Uverse.  We got a better deal on ATT.  Recording shows/playback is better with ATT.

Another vote for U-verse here....former TW customer.

We had a DVR go out with U-verse but we were one of the first customers and the tech told us that they were still working on the technology.

One plus for U-verse....if you have an iPhone, you can get a free app that can control your DVR so if you forget to record something or you're at a party and people are talking about a specific show, you can set a recording from there rather than trying to remember what channel, what time, etc....this has come in handy a few times.

I have not liked AT&T's salespeople. I feel like they misrepresented the packages the last two times I dealt with them. Unfortunately, I feel the same way about Comcast and didn't like DishTV's service. UVerse gave the most product for the least money.

I'm getting UVerse installed today! Looking forward to it, as I've been without cable/satellite for almost 2 years. Plus my connection speed is going to be something like 30x faster than what it is right now. Eek! I'll let you know later.

FYI DirecTV has an iPhone app that does the same.  You can also control your DVR from their webpage.

If DirecTV cannot get their head out of their butt in the next few months I'll be looking at AT&T as well.  Been with DirecTV for over 10 years now but this Versus stuff is ticking me off.

The whole Versus thing (along with the NBC Universal tease of ~30 days of service) was the deal breaker for me.  Service install scheduled for Feb 3.

Yeah that tease sucked.  All it did was make it want it more.  However found out I cannot get AT&T here.  Hmm, maybe Verizon will take my money
