Elite 3223 Hendersonville | Subject: RE: Chocolate milk v. Chocolate soy milk Soy milk is much more processed than cow milk. I would stick with cow milk unless you have a dairy intolerance. If you have a dairy intolerance, then skip the over-processed soy alternatives and drink coconut milk or coconut water (sometimes called coconut juice). High is good fats and delicious. When in doubt, eat the foods that are closest to their natural state, not the ones that rely on modern technology to become edible. If the package has health claims on it, don't buy it! Buy the real food that isn't processed because it's NATURALLY nutritious! |

So I'm intolerant, but I tolerate it without problems? I see you went from 100% down to 85% already too. It's easy to make big generalizations. It's harder to back them up most of the time. |

Member 276 San Diego | Subject: RE: Chocolate milk v. Chocolate soy milk im not here to argue, i was just stating some facts, i was making a generalization and when asked about it i put 85% cause that is the number most people in the medical field agree on. we lack the enzymes to break down dairy, cows milk is for cows, its simple...anyways i was just pointing out something that has been said in previous threads. if i continue my posts will probably be deleted. triathlon stuff, thats why im here. |

All I'm asking for is a reference to the medical studies that say 85%, knowing that most statistics are mde up on the spot. I have never looked into it, not currently challenging the 85% number, would just like a point of reference |

You also stated that everybody was intolerant of milk. Humans are omnivores. We're capable of breaking down and digesting any number of things. |

Granted, I did not read the entire thing, nor anything referenced therein, so if it says it somewhere else not using the word intolerant, I did not read that. So, even granting you a reference to a 50% number, the answer is instead "there are none that I know of" Fair enough BTW, I've got no dog in this fight. I don't agree with you. I don't disagree with you. I just think when people say that XX% of people are XX, they better have a source for that number |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: Chocolate milk v. Chocolate soy milk I got this from the most reliable sorce available... WikiAnswers: (so says 86% of all users - I made that up on the spot). Three possible answers. "47.3% of statistics are made up on the spot!" "This is simply not correct. The correct answer is 58.17543% of statistics are made up on the spot!" "due to the nature of this statistic, the value changes every single time it is calculated. It can vary widely from under 40% to over 90%. At the moment, it is 78.6% " |
