Way to go Chris! As a former "close to 400 pounder," I can sympathize with how much effort it takes to drag you and your bike up hills. Awesome job brother - it only gets better from here!

Hey, I think we met waiting for the swim to start at Buster Britton.  Are you the Ranger?  I am the "non-swimmer" Army helicopter pilot.  Let me know if it is you.

Man...first Tri It On, now this. You're impressive! I think what you're doing is awesome. I can't imagine the challenges--both physical and mental--you've had to overcome to get where you are today. But if you keep a positive attitude and are able to maintain your discipline, I'm confident you'll continue to see improvement in your times and your health.

Maybe I'll see you out there again?

Good luck!

Yeah, I was watching for you on the bike and tried to give you a motivational "Hooah" on my way by...not sure if I saw you fast enough though.  The bike is deffinately my strength and it was a good thing considering I crawled out of the water 117th out of 118 in our category!

I hung around a bit and was honestly waiting to talk with you after you had finished.  I ended up leaving pretty quick since I was traveling solo and had to get back on the road.

Any future plans in the works?

Michael

PS  By the way, when I was reading your blog I saw the part about your dream...but didn't realize it was a dream at first and was getting pretty pissed off.  More of a "there is no way" kind of feeling...glad to see it wasn't real.  I have to say out of all sporting "scenes" I think the Triathlon/Duathlon one is the most welcome to new people.  You rock...keep it up and keep me posted.  Drop me an email instead if it is easier...I will PM my address to you.
