The swim ends more South and although a shorther beach run it requires a winding good length run on the paved path to the enterance to T1. The bike exit appears that it will not exit at the base of the hill and there are fenced in sections to herd you like cattle. Seemed very well organized so far. |

We'll see about the bike mount shortly, the guy I spoke to was working with the timing mat guy and although the lead guy wanted to do it one way the mat guy had a couple other opinions. reading a rr from an IM 70.3 event last week sounds like wetsuit strippers and T1 stuff in bag , not laying out your stuff , curious what to expect. Same. Quick tire fix: I cut out a piece (rip more like it) of old tube, lay it inside tire where compromised and then new tube and pump up. Not ideal, but gives a little extra protection to new tube. Have also seen people use folded up $ and even a business card in same way. You just want to make an extra barrier between tire and new tube at gash. But if gash is too big, nothing will work. Youve been riding the course, how are roads debris wise? |

Based on my speed and starting wave, I should have plenty of riders out in front of me to ferret out any debris. |

It will be a legit full 1.2 mi It will be deep enough to not worry about hitting the bottom with your stroke and there will be no walking on the swim portion.
