Subject: RE: Ironman 70.3 Racine : Official ThreadI also hydrated like crazy for at least 5 days leading up to this race. I drank a LOT on the bike (pre-mixed nutrition, Perform and water ) and my quads were still a wreck - especially at those first hills after the turn around. I had to walk up the one right before the first aid station... just as I looked up a guy with a camera says 'sorry' yup - that race photo is going to suck. Shortly after that aid station I realized that I wasn't sweating anymore and hit every aid station walking. I drank everything and dumped ice into my tri suit (tru ). On a quick side note - anyone know who any of these 3 are:  Rumor has it that one of them was featured in a BT documentary and is also on the Tri Donkai (sp? ) team - I didn't know who they were when we were talking - about a broken wetsuit zipper. |
