Comments: For some reason, my calves tightened up at mile 2 in the run and they are still sore, almost 3 hours after the run. Maybe I needed to stretch them out more due to the cold. I am not sure. I certainly was not employing the ChiRunning principles during this run. It was tough for some reason and felt longer than the last 10K I did. Overall, I am pleased with the workout, but I really thought my time would be better. What would you do differently?: Stretch out the calves! Post race
Warm down: At least a 2 mile walk back to the car. The finish was a lot farther away than the start. What limited your ability to perform faster: Could have been the 3 beers I had last night. :) Last updated: 2010-01-19 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:30, half a bagel with PB and a banana. Battled the nearly 2 hour drive in the pouring rain, only to find it was not raining at the race. Nice!
Walk about a mile from my car to the start line, popped a Clif Gel, hit the porta potty and I was ready to go.
