Pre-race routine:

Up at 6:30, usual; light breakfast & coffee, packed the bag and headed to Westridge
Event warmup:

Jog-walked a mile on the indoor track, a little core & stretching to try and get the lower back to loosen up

Comments:

1st time I ever ran in snow. Wasn't sure on the footing, and felt a little tight in the chest/lungs. My workout regimen is usually evenings, I'm not sure my body knows exactly what its doing in the morning
What would you do differently?:

Not carry the extra weight I currently am

Warm down:

Saw ffstock and said hi, then went inside for a swim

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My ability to perform faster was limited by my speed/cadence, current weight, lack of rest and bacchanalian behavior. I suppose I should work more on changing a few of those ;)

Good race all things considered:  it's winter time, it was snowing, it's off season, it was slippery, we're supposed to be hibernating right now, etc etc.  Good seeing you!  I should have gone in and swam with you, I need to learn how to do flip turns.
