DAM Triathlon : Official Thread

Do I understand it correct that packet pickup is on Friday only....no raceday pickup. In FAQ's they said chips could be picked up raceday. (which is part of packet) I'm not driving two days, it's $30 in gas for me.

The email they sent today says that there WILL BE packet pickup on race day starting at 6:00am - 7:30am.  It also says that the transition area will be open at that time as well.  Hope that helps.

Hi all. This will be my first Tri. I've been training hard and really look forward to learning from this experience. I'm new to swimming and Ows for sure, but I've done three sessions in lakes on the north shore and am confident I can get through the swim portion with a little back stroke and side stroke mixed in. I really need to improve my breathing as I get gassed pretty quick in the swim. Probably has a lot to do with my wild ineficie t technique. Anyway, Im looking forward to seeing what I can do. Hope to meet a few of you on Saturday. Any idea how many participants there will be? Thanks for all of the good posts and info on this site. Very helpful for those of us getting started.
